The HEAT is a competitive dragon boat club comprised of a diverse mix of men and women from a wide variety of backgrounds in the 50 to 60+ age range.  Collectively our team represents a wide range of athletic experience, sports skill, and physical conditioning.

The HEAT training includes on water practices 3 times a week, off boat physical conditioning, and a number of paddling technique-focused dragon boat camps to prepare the team for strong competitive outcomes in local, regional, national, and international races. We train and race hard but know how to have fun!

The HEAT is a community that supports the community.  The HEAT is dedicated to many different efforts in support of local organizations.  We volunteer at the Grandview Clydesdale Shows, host Big Brother Big Sister paddle events and participate in a variety of food and supply drives for local charities.  The activities not only are very rewarding but give us the opportunity to enjoy spending time with each other off the water.
